A warning will be issued for:

  2. Any misrepresentation to Revelator, or activity violating Revelator’s trust and safety initiatives

Examples of misrepresentations or violative behavior:

To ensure your account is not misused, it's important to control who can register as a client.

RULE: Disable Open Signups if do not want anyone creating a new account without your authorization (Account Settings > Client Features > Open Signups).

✅ 2. Verify Your Clients

Legitimate artists should have a real online presence: active social media or official websites.

Revelator also assists you with this by attributing each account a Trust Score from the moment they sign up. This score is calculated from multiple data points which are kept confidential to protect the integrity of our system. Client accounts with a Low Trust Score (LTS) will be marked as such on the Inspection page when inspecting their releases, as well as on their Client page.

Note: The Trust Score feature is not currently available for clients using the Revelator API to control signups.

RULE: Verify that releases are tied to the artist’s official Apple or Spotify profile. Uploading to alternate or unknown profiles is a red flag.

GUIDELINE: Whenever inspecting a release, check the account’s Trust Score. A LTS indicates potential risk and should trigger more thorough review.
