🔐 1. Control Signups
- Disable open signups if you do not want anyone creating a new account without your authorization (Account Settings > Client Features > Open Signups).
- Revelator also allows you to manually create client accounts through you dashboard.
- Using the Revelator API you can also create your own signup & login page to direct all signups to your own account review system. Contact our support to learn more.
- Restrict signups by geography if your operations do not target certain regions. Email [email protected] with a list of countries to exclude.
✅ 2. Verify Your Clients
Legitimate artists should have a real online presence: active social media or official websites.
RULE: Verify that releases are tied to the artist’s official Apple or Spotify profile. Uploading to alternate or unknown profiles is a red flag.
🛑 3. Disallowed Content
RULE: Revelator does not allow distribution of the following types of content:
- Functional or repetitive music that is under 2 minutes in length
Examples: white noise, sleep music, ambient loops, “therapeutic” types of music
